Design & Touchups

It’s time to start planning and thinking about your new artwork to transform into Wearable Art products!

Request new designs for your new artwork, or for new products more up to date with your existing artwork. This only takes a day for 30 new designs, but if you also need some touchups, you will need to count an extra day. If you need more than 30 designs to get your vision, you will need to take this into account while planning your calendar and counting the number of days of design.

Plan your Promotion

Prepare your campaign calendar. What is the ideal date to announce the new collection? When is the last day to order to receive it in time for a particular event, or your limited-time edition collection is ending? Make sure to “milk” your campaign in a few days rather than all at once! Some people might not see your first post but will see your second story, for example. Think about multiple channels too! Newsletters, social media, text messages, flyers, etc.

Wholesale: Receive your Samples

While waiting for your custom-made samples to arrive, what have you planned on doing with them? Whether it’s some pictures, a video, just to wear it for yourself, or to show around, take the time to get the feel of the product. Your Art is coming to life! How does it feel? How do you want to wear it? How do you want to present it? The answers are what will appeal to your future customers.

Finalize the final details

Do you have anything in hand? All that you need to make your event special and memorable? We’re sure you are! Think about last-minute details that could change your Wearable Art future; a business card, a contest when you are tagged in pictures on social media, a spinoff on your Storefront for those who couldn’t attend, a newsletter recap (or starting a newsletter emails list!). Those are quick things you can manage that will keep your event in the mind of people, and keep your event “living” even when it’s finished. You have worked really hard on this, make sure your energy was well used on nourishing your growing brand.

Publish & Order Samples

You have all your product mockups to your liking and are ready to take the next step! It’s time to create Collections to publish on your Storefront if you desire to sell at Retail. If you plan on buying an inventory or samples at Wholesale, prepare a list of what you want and make sure everything fits perfectly with what you have in mind.

Rébecca’s tip: Print the products’ pictures and prepare your sample kit by doing mix&match on your table!

Share your Campaign

Now that you have worked on your calendar, time to play around with the images and content! If you have pictures of the products on yourself or tagged by some fans, it’s the perfect time to use them. A picture is worth a thousand words. Diversify your approach by being direct with an informative post, then mix it up with ludic ones with pictures, how you feel in those garments, how you wear them, etc. Don’t forget to add the specifics! Date/hours, prices, how to order, etc.

Retail: Last call to order

If you have planned on selling on your Storefront a Collection where your customers need to have the goods by a specific date (for example, buying a gift for Mother’s Day), you are now in the last week for them to receive it on time. You have to take into account around 10 days of production, and a week of shipping. Your clients can see at any time when checking out what is the Expected Ship Date (like you in your Portal)
